Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Praav Technologies Private Limited ("Praav", "we", "us") governing your access to and use of the Praav platform, including its website at joinpraav.com and any associated mobile applications (collectively, the "Platform").

By registering for or using the Platform you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

You may only use the Platform if you:

• Are at least 18 years of age.
• Are a resident of India or accessing the Platform from India.
• Are legally competent to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
• Are not prohibited from using the Platform under any applicable law.
• Have not previously been banned from the Platform by us.

By using the Platform you represent and warrant that all of the above conditions are satisfied. Persons under 18 are strictly prohibited from registering or using the Platform. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will immediately terminate their account and delete their data.

To use the Platform you must create an account using a valid Indian mobile number or email address. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with any third party.
• Notify us immediately at support@joinpraav.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• Be solely responsible for all activity conducted through your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where we have reason to believe that registration information is inaccurate, incomplete, or fraudulent.

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with its intended use — connecting adults for genuine relationships. You agree not to:

• Create a fake, impersonating, or misleading profile.
• Upload photos that do not depict you, or photos of other persons without their consent.
• Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or harm any other user.
• Send unsolicited commercial messages, spam, or bulk communications.
• Solicit money, gifts, financial information, or sexual services from other users.
• Share or upload content that is obscene, pornographic, defamatory, hateful, or in violation of any law.
• Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data that are not yours.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Platform without our written consent.
• Post content that discloses another person's private information without their consent (doxxing).
• Engage in any conduct that violates the Information Technology Act, 2000 or any other applicable Indian law.

Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension or termination, and we may report the conduct to law enforcement authorities where appropriate.

You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Platform, including photographs, biography text, and messages ("User Content").

By uploading User Content, you grant Praav a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, display, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to reasonable archival and backup periods.

You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have the necessary rights to the User Content; (b) the User Content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party; and (c) the User Content does not violate any applicable law.

We do not pre-screen User Content but reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is reported through our safety mechanisms.

Your safety is our priority. You can report any user or content through the in-app reporting feature or by emailing safety@joinpraav.com.

We will acknowledge safety reports within 24 hours and take action within 7 days for confirmed violations. For severe violations (threats of violence, child safety), we may act immediately and notify law enforcement.

Praav is not responsible for the offline conduct of its users. We strongly recommend that users exercise caution when meeting someone for the first time — always meet in a public place and inform a trusted friend of your plans.

Certain features on the Platform ("Premium Features") require payment. All payments are processed by Razorpay in Indian Rupees (INR) and are subject to applicable taxes.

• All purchases are non-refundable unless required by applicable Indian law (including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019) or unless a technical error on our part prevented delivery of the purchased feature.
• Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase to support@joinpraav.com.
• We will process eligible refunds within 10 business days to the original payment method.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time with 7 days' notice displayed on the Platform.

All intellectual property in the Platform — including its design, source code, trademarks, trade names, logos, and original content — is owned by or licenced to Praav Technologies Private Limited and protected under the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and other applicable Indian intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any part of the Platform without our express written consent.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Praav expressly disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that: (a) the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; (b) any profiles are genuine or that users are who they claim to be; or (c) any matches will result in successful relationships.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Praav, its directors, officers, employees, and service providers shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.
• Any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities.
• Any conduct or content of third-party users, whether online or offline.
• Any unauthorised access to your account or data not caused by our negligence.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to Praav in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹500, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Praav Technologies Private Limited and its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third party's rights.

By you: You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for: (a) breach of these Terms; (b) conduct that harms other users or the Platform; (c) prolonged inactivity (12+ months); or (d) if required by law.

Upon termination, your licence to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including Sections 8, 10, 11, 13) will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

In the event of any dispute, the parties shall first attempt to resolve it amicably through good-faith negotiations. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ernakulam, Kerala, India.

For consumer disputes, nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and/or via an in-app notice at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

• Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Praav regarding the Platform.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver.
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours in connection with a merger or acquisition.
• Language: These Terms are written in English. In the event of any conflict with a translated version, the English version prevails.
